Project Studies Manager
Advanced Transport Systems Ltd is developing the innovative ULTra system which offers on-demand personal transport. ULTra offers a new approach to sustainable public transport. There is increasing interest from Government, Local Authorities and other users, in the UK and abroad, including both the US and Middle East. As a result, ATS is engaged in a series of studies to examine the effectiveness of ULTra as a critical element of an integrated transport solution in a variety of applications. The role of the Project Studies Manager is to lead this work and to take responsibility for the delivery of the study results to the client.
ATS seek a candidate with demonstrated capability in transport modelling, and experience in related work with a consultant or local authority. The person appointed will be the principal source of transport expertise within the company. They will need the flexibility and confidence to become a key member of an interdisciplinary team which aspires to change the nature of public transport.
The policy of ATS is to work with specialist companies wherever possible. Part of the studies work will be sub-contracted to specialist consulting companies. One task of the Project Studies Manager is management / liaison with such companies to ensure that their recommendations take full advantage of the new opportunities offered by the ULTra system.
Some of the work may require being based overseas.
